Ethanol is impacted by a myriad of public policies, both at the federal and state levels. Working with these policymakers and regulatory agencies is a key facet of ACE's mission to expand ethanol production and use nationwide.
Key policies at the federal level include: the Renewable Fuels Standard (RFS), the Volumetric Ethanol Excise Tax Credit (VEETC or the Blender's Credit), the Small Ethanol Producer Credit, and the secondary offset tariff on ethanol imports.
Key policies at the state level include: ethanol producer incentives, pump incentives, and requirements for the use of ethanol-blended fuel.
Visit the Federal Legislation or State Legislation subsections for more details on these policies.
