American Coalition for Ethanol Elects Board Officers

At today's meeting of its Board of Directors, the American Coalition for Ethanol (ACE) re-elected these individuals as officers for the coming year:

President - Bob Scott, POET Ethanol Products
Vice President - Brian Wilcox, Nebraska Public Power District
Secretary - Merle Anderson, Minnkota Power Cooperative
Treasurer - Owen Jones, 4-Seasons Cooperative

In addition, Duane Kristensen of Chief Ethanol Fuels and Lars Herseth, the board's at-large representative, will also serve on the ACE Executive Committee.

"We are honored to have such diverse grassroots leadership and experience elected to help lead the American Coalition for Ethanol in 2009," said Brian Jennings, Executive Vice President of ACE. "This is a critical moment in time for the U.S. ethanol industry, and there are urgent issues that must be addressed. ACE remains committed to bring grassroots leadership to bear in support of biofuels policy and producers now and into the future.

The American Coalition for Ethanol is the nation's largest ethanol advocacy association, representing 1,500 members across the country, including ethanol producers, industry vendors, the agriculture community, rural electric co-ops, farmers, and other individual ethanol supporters. ACE was founded in 1988 to be the grassroots voice of the U.S. ethanol industry.
